Why do we track beach trash?
What you collect is valuable! Your work helps track the types of debris impacting our marine and coastal ecosystems. This data is used to inform ocean policy, education, and science across the Central Coast of California.
Annually, Save Our Shores holds around 200 cleanups and recruits thousands of dedicated community members to volunteer. Together we have kept over half a million pounds of trash out of the Monterey Bay!
