Save Our Shores Earth Day 2016INTERESTED IN TURNING your love for Mother Nature into action on Earth Day 2016? Join the Monterey Bay’s largest Earth Day beach and river cleanup effort! This Save Our Shores event is scheduled across many great locations on April 16th and 17th. Bring your friends and family for a fun day in the sun. Celebrate Mother Nature and pre-register now.

We have cleanups happening in both Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties at a variety of times. Cleanups are happening rain or shine! Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet other community members and give back to our planet. For questions email cleanup@saveourshores.org

Last year, nearly 350 volunteers prevented more than 2,000 pounds of pollution from entering our Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary on Earth Day! This year, we hope to enlist even more helping hands.

All cleanup materials will be provided, but we encourage volunteers to bring reusable buckets, gloves, and water bottles (staying hydrated is important) to help reduce waste. Individuals and groups welcome. For groups of 10 or more people, please email volunteer(at)saveourshores.org
