Each year Save Our Shores hosts Waves & Wildlife, an amateur photo and video contest, to highlight the beauty and biodiversity of our region’s spectacular marine protected areas while raising awareness about the role they play in safeguarding and regenerating our ocean and climate.
We hope you can join us for our November 5th Virtual Awards Ceremony & Celebration to celebrate this year’s winners while learning more about the importance of MPA’s and how our annual Waves & Wildlife Contest helps to raise awareness. Vote for your favorite photos & videos by Nov. 3rd!
To open the celebration and draw the connection between this fun photo and video contest and the bigger environmental actions needed for ocean and climate health, Nicole Palma of California’s MPA Collaborative Network will talk about our beloved Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary and Save Our Shores new Executive Director Erica Donnelly-Greenan will share some thoughts about the need to designate the Chumash Heritage National Marine Sanctuary.
I understand that by RSVPing to this event I am subscribing to the Save Our Shores email list and can unsubscribe anytime.
