Join Save Our Shores for a special FREE screening of The Story of Plastics film and Q&A in honor of Earth Week on Friday, April 24th at 4pm!

On April 24th at 4pm PST, Save Our Shores invites you to a special FREE online screening of THE STORY OF PLASTIC, a new documentary film by Deia Schlosberg which exposes the local and global environmental, climate, justice, and health impacts of the plastic industry. Save Our Shores has organized this screening as part of the Earth Day Live, 72-hour live stream to make it available to wider audiences and let groups in the growing plastic resistance movement interact with the filmmakers and film subjects.

Everyone who RSVP’s will be invited to join a follow up Zoom discussion with Save Our Shores Executive Director Katherine O’Dea and County of Santa Cruz Zero Waste Program Manager Tim Goncharoff at 5:45pm PST.

Links to the film and Q&A Zoom will be sent out approximately 24 hours before the event to those who have RSVP’d. If you RSVP less than 24 hours before the event and have not yet received an email with links, please email media@saveourshores.org.

This event is being held as part of Save Our Shores’ Earth Day 50 Speaker Series highlighting the importance of this pivotal year by discussing growing problems and groundbreaking solutions for our oceans and climate.
