Save Our Shores has signed on as an official organizational partner to Union of Concerned Scientists’ Science Rising initiative, a network of partners and advocates that fights for science, equity, and justice in our democracy.

As part of this partnership, we’re partnering with Gateway School and SCEE to host a nonpartisan Debate Watch Party on February 25th.

One of Science Rising’s goals is to improve voter turnout for STEM students (who according to a 2016 Tufts University study vote at the lowest rates among all students).

As a 501c3, Save Our Shores does not support or oppose any political party or candidate.

Science Rising is managed by the Union of Concerned Scientists, a section 501(c)(3) organization. Accordingly, all projects of Science Rising are strictly non-partisan, and must not be conducted for the purpose or with the effect of favoring a particular candidate or party over another. Accordingly, Science Rising activities must focus on issues and not on particular parties or candidates. Because the restriction on electioneering by 501(c)(3) organizations is absolute, our policy is meant to ensure that Science Rising remains in rigorous compliance and immune to criticism on this issue.
