Do you love the Monterey Bay? Do you find yourself picking up trash as you walk along your favorite beaches, or talking to your friends about how they can reduce their use of single-use plastic? Are you wishing there was more you could do to help protect our coast? Well look no further! Our Sanctuary Stewards program is one of our most valued programs at Save Our Shores. As a Sanctuary Steward, you will volunteer to participate in and lead events such as beach and river cleanups, kayak cleanups, outreach events, Dockwalking events, and MORE!
To become a Steward, we ask that you please attend our four training sessions; once a week for four weeks. Additionally, we request each Steward commit to participating in at least one event per month for the first 6 months after training.
Our next Sanctuary Steward Training will be held on the first four Thursday’s in October; the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th. Trainings will be held from 6-8pm at the Elkhorn Yacht Club, and will include exciting local guest speakers!
Please visit our Sanctuary Stewards Page to sign up for this training!
Thank you to our partners at the Elkhorn Yacht Club for providing our training location!
