What it Means to Adopt-a-Beach:

  • Beach adopters commit to scheduling and participating in at least 3 beach cleanups a year at their adopted beach.
  • Save Our Shores provides all cleanup materials, and coordinates permits and garbage collection for your group.
  • A Save Our Shores representative will lead your group and provide an educational presentation at your first cleanup (and for other follow-up cleanups as requested).
  • Groups tally and report their cleanup data online.

Fee: There is an annual $400 fee to participate in the Adopt-a-Beach program as described above. This fee covers program costs, including the installation of your Adopt-A-Beach Sign at your adopted beach.

Save Our Shores also offers numerous beach cleanup opportunities at no cost to participating groups.
Groups may participate in any 3 cleanups at the same beach in a year will be considered Adopt-a-Beach participants..

Save Our Shores offer fundraising support to groups who cannot afford the initial $400 fee. For neighborhood associations, school groups, clubs and other civic groups, this is a great option to help offset the fee. Groups do not have to raise the fee before participating in the program but can raise the funds over the course of a year.
