Save Our Shores offers beach cleanups to corporate and private groups on a limited basis. We are best able to accommodate small volunteer groups at our public beach cleanups as listed on our events calendar.

SOS offers fun, educational, and safe group volunteer experiences at an unbeatable location: the beautiful beaches of the Monterey Bay. Save Our Shores asks all corporate volunteer teams to make a minimum sponsorship donation corresponding to their group size.
Sponsorship benefits are always made available to private cleanup sponsors.
An SOS representative will meet your group to provide an educational presentation on marine debris, as well as distribute your beach cleanup supplies. The first step is to submit a beach cleanup request (instructions below). Private cleanups are primarily available in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties on a limited basis.
It’s easy to participate: All your group has to do is show up! A Save Our Shores’ representative will meet your group at the beach with all cleanup supplies. Ask your cleanup coordinator for suggestions on ways to minimize the impact of your group’s picnic or snack by using biodegradable or reusable options instead of disposable plastics.
Private cleanups for schools and other groups are offered on a very limited basis outside of Save Our Shores’ grant-funded education programs in Santa Cruz County. Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate all requests and we require a donation of at least $500.
How to schedule a cleanup with Save Our Shores:
Submit your request at least four weeks prior to your desired cleanup date to firstname.lastname@example.org.
You will receive confirmation for your cleanup along with waiver forms to be distributed to each member of your group (participants under 18 need a parent/guardian signature). Bring the waiver forms with you to your cleanup.
