Coastal Cleanup Day For School Groups

                                 cleanup2                       dsc00402

Santa Cruz County kids care about the ocean and it critters.   Coastal Cleanup Day provides an opportunity for in class education about marine conservation and a hands on chance for your students to put their new knowledge to work!

There are 2 ways to get your students involved:

1.      Host a Save Our Shores Marine Conservation presentation in your classroom: Through hands-on activities students learn the importance of healthy ecosystems and how they can get actively involved in their community to prevent plastic pollution.

2.      Organize a campus, neighborhood or beach cleanup any time from September 13th through 24th or have your students participate at one of our public cleanup locations on the actual day of the event, Saturday September 25th. All cleanup supplies will be provided by Save Our Shores. (Please note that all students will need a signed Beach Cleanup Waiver Form in order to participate. See below to download form).

For more information, to schedule a Marine Conservation Presentation and/or to organize a cleanup please contact Emily at emily@saveourshores.org.
