Sanctuary Steward Program

Volunteers enjoy taking our “Ocean Stewardship†course that meets weekly from November-March. The class will be held on Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30. Our Sanctuary Stewards decide how they would like to participate, making a commitment of at least one volunteer day per month.
Volunteers bring diversity of experience to our organization. They are the core of our education initiatives. Typical Sanctuary Steward activities include making school presentations, leading marine debris beach programs, hosting Sanctuary boat tours, spreading the word at community events such as Earth Day, or through developing personal initiatives in ocean protection.
