Carmel Bay State Marine Conservation Area

2017 Underwater Parks Day With Save Our Shores

COME CELEBRATE CALIFORNIA’S MANY MARINE PROTECTED AREAS this month by joining us for a morning of stewardship, scenic beauty, and abundance of wildlife.

This year, we’ll be heading down to the Carmel Bay State Marine Conservation Area. Join our team as we remove harmful pollution, hang out with like-minded community members, and bask in the biological richness that the Monterey bay has to offer!

Caring for this biodiverse section of the Monterey Bay keeps our wildlife thriving, our ocean healthy & our community clean. Feel good. Do good. Be apart of this special day.

At the end of Ocean Avenue at Carmel Beach along the sandy shores of the Carmel Bay State Marine Conservation Area.

Please bring weather appropriate clothing, closed-toed shoes, water, and sun protection. Cleanup supplies will be provided, still we encourage that you bring your own reusable bucket, gloves, and trash grabber! This special cleanup will happen rain or shine!

As always, if you have any questions please email

Thank you for caring for our beautiful Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary… See you out there!
