Save Our Shores Earth Day 2016INTERESTED IN TURNING your love for Mother Nature into action on Earth Day 2017? Join the Monterey Bay’s largest Earth Day beach and river cleanup effort! This Save Our Shores event is scheduled across many great locations on April 22nd. Bring your friends and family for a fun day in the sun. Celebrate Mother Nature and pre-register now.

We have cleanups happening in both Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties at a variety of times. Cleanups are happening rain or shine! Don’t miss this great opportunity to meet other community members and give back to our planet. For questions email cleanup@saveourshores.org

Last year, nearly 536 volunteers prevented more than 9,226 pounds of pollution from entering our Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary on Earth Day! This year, we hope to enlist even more helping hands.

April 22nd Carmel River State Beach Check-in will be located in the main parking area off of Scenic Road. 10am-Noon
April 22nd Rancho Moro Cojo Park (Elkhorn Slough), supported by the North Monterey County High School Slough Crew and the Elkhorn Slough Foundation Check-in will be at Rancho Moro Cojo Park at the corner of Los Ninos and Communidad Way off of Castroville Blvd. 10am-Noon

April 22nd Hidden Beach, supported by the Rio Del Mar Improvement Association Adopt-a-Beach group Check in will be at end of Cliff Dr right at the entrance to the Hidden Beach Playground. There is a short walk down to the beach from the playground. 10am-Noon
