When you join the Save Our Shores team, you’re joining a community of educators, biologists, community builders and ocean advocates who respect the ocean, its shores and all of the creatures along the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. We are surfers, skimmers, divers, sailors, kayakers and outdoor enthusiasts who hold a deep appreciation for the Monterey Bay community that we live in.

Our Science Advisory Council is composed of members with expertise in the areas we have identified as most critical for the Sanctuary: Marine Protected Areas, Water Quality, Climate Change and Sustainable Fisheries. If you’re interested in joining our team:
At Save Our Shores, interns get a real experience of what it’s like to work for a small, yet mighty marine conservation nonprofit. Prepare to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty! Our internships are offered every quarter or semester so that you can receive school credit. Work-study internships are available on a limited basis.
